Gatekeepers
In every church there are particular administrative leaders who control access of people and ideas into and out of their particular sphere of responsibility. Examples include the Treasurer, the Secretary and President of the Fellowship group, the Secretary and Chair of church council, the Property Manager and of course, the Minister.
Nothing happens in church life without the assent of these people. When they are cooperative and engaged with the churches current mission we barely notice their presence. However when they block change we are painfully aware of them. They are the GATEKEEPERS.
This series of articles describes how gatekeepers function, why we cannot do without them, and how to work with them successfully.
